For about a month Paul & I sat and went over mental imagery of in-game situations, what to do and how to handle yourself. Along with that, Paul went over how important it is to take care of the arm and proper warm up and workouts that a pitcher should do. Paul has a unique perspective and knowledge of the game, as any former Major Leaguer would, which he simplifies to the understanding of young baseball players. Being that I am a Minor League pitcher in the Toronto Blue Jays Organization, everything Paul teaches and knowledge he has to offer is as good as any pitchng instructor you'll see in Professional Baseball.

Working with Paul has taken me from being an average high school pitcher to an opportunity to play in arguably the best collegiate baseball conference in the country. Paul's methods and views of pitching gave me the ability to increase my fastball velo from 82-83 to now 90-92 in just two off seasons, meeting once a week. Anyone who wants to get to the next level in their careers should work with Paul. - Nate Brown , Florida Gators

I've worked with Paul on multiple occasions and I can't say enough good things about him. Every time I came out being a better pitcher and I had better knowledge on the art of pitching. Just a really good coach and even better person. - Ryan Schmitt, University of Illinois

Paul has worked with me on pitching mechanics and has increased my velocity through proper mechanics. He was very easy to connect with and makes the lessons fun. I would highly recommend Paul to all baseball players hoping to take their game to the next level. - Elijah Goodman

I would like to thank you for the one on one pitching clinic that you gave to my 13 year old son Brandon. He has learned so much just from the first one hour session. Brandon has been playing baseball since he was 6 years old starting out in a rec league his first year and then coming up through all the years in the different select baseball teams (Blazers, Firebirds and now playing U13 for the Jr. Crusaders). My son loves to pitch and over the years I had him attend different pitching camps. Don't get me wrong they were good camps, but there was no one on one training. To have one on one training with you and all of your knowledge has been a wonderful experience and money well spent. - Brian Dodge

My son, Cam, and I greatly appreciate all your help with pitching lessons.  We both like your personal approach while working with Cam.  In particular, we like that you don't use the same routines for every player - you work with Cam's strengths and don't try to make him pitch the exact same as everyone else.  Cam enjoys your help with his mental approach to the game and learning the finer aspects of pitching from you.   We have seen growth and improvement in his ability to set up the hitter, not waste pitches and think about setting up the next pitch or the next at bat.  After each lesson with you, Cam improves in both pitch location and getting movement on the ball.  Cam is always looking forward to the next lesson with you.  We plan to have you help Cam continue to grow and develop as a pitcher.  Thank you for all your great instruction!  - Ed

My son and I really enjoy Paul's enthusiastic approach to coaching, sharing his personal and professional experiences throughout his baseball career. Paul can instruct and make major changes as well as point out more detailed nuances that only somebody with his expertise would notice. I would highly recommend contacting Paul to any pitcher wanting to advance their skill level - Geno

Our son has had a very good  experience working with Paul Wagner.  Paul has a great ability to communicate with the teenage athlete and enhance their
current technique and abilities with practical adjustment and instruction. Paul is very results oriented yet flexible in his approach. There wasn't a complete overhaul of our son's pitching mechanic but rather subtle adjustments to increase velocity, action and control.   Our son left every session with Paul more excited about the game and a more confident player. Not only does Paul teach skills, he stresses values, work ethic and the mental aspect necessary for the game of baseball, all valuable attributes that Paul learned through his journey to become a major league baseball player.  We feel very fortunate that our son is able to work with Paul and develop in many aspects as a  pitcher. - Michele and Joseph Varick

My son Nate will be a 2014 graduate of Grafton High School and he has worked with Paul Wagner the last two seasons.  From the beginning, Nate loved that Paul did not try to make wholesale changes to his delivery.  It was his goal to make small tweaks and take advantage of Nate’s strengths.  All of the practice sessions have a well understood purpose, be it pitch location, pitch selection and sequence, and/or execution of specific pitches.  Paul’s goals with Nate have included getting him to understand his pitches and where things can go wrong so that Nate can self-correct and really learn how to be a better pitcher.  From a parent’s perspective, I appreciate Paul’s expertise and positive attitude.  Each session has built on the foundation and results of the previous lessons.  I have seen tremendous growth in both the physical and mental aspects of Nate’s game.  Working with Paul has been an important component that helped lead Nate to 1st team All-Conference, honorable mention All-State after his Junior year, and signing of a National Letter of Intent to pitch at Truman State University beginning next fall. - Tony & Nate Lukas, Grafton

My two oldest boys had the opportunity to work with Paul a year ago.  I was impressed on several fronts with how he coaches pitching.  Not only did he provide solid technical insight with regards to mechanics and the like but the knowledge and delivery of the intangibles were what was most impressive to me.  Addressing the more subtle areas of focus, relaxation and mindset while on the mound.  Balance, handling in game distractions, working thru rough patches, etc.  Paul did so in a very relatable manner with my boys.  It’s one thing to be able to tell a pitcher what he’s doing wrong.  It’s a whole different thing to explain the subtle nuances in a fashion that the player can understand, relate to, and subsequently execute and improve upon.  Paul was able to have a significant impact on my boys in a short amount of time.  They enjoyed seeing him and working with him and couldn’t wait till next time.  Not only were the sessions very valuable for my boys but also for myself as a youth coach.  I picked up on a number of things I was able to take back to my teams and translate into improvement.  We’re looking forward to working with Paul again in the near future.  - Kevin P. Sheridan

I really appreciate all of the pitching knowledge that I’ve gained from training with you this spring. Your positive attitude makes it easy to relate to you and understand the adjustments you’re making that are helping me to gain consistency and confidence. My delivery feels much more natural, thanks to your tips on my footwork and ways to take advantage of my size. Our workouts always challenge me! I have great respect for you as a person, especially your dedication to all aspects of an athlete. Your thoughts focusing on nutrition and physical/mental balance are also important to me. I am grateful for you sharing your baseball experience with me, having played at all levels of the game. Thanks for everything! - Logan Rupard

Our time with Paul has been short but very sweet; we have spent many months together, both during the baseball season and plenty of off-season work.  He responded immediately to our phone call, took the time to introduce himself, talked a bit about his philosophy, listened to what our needs were, threw in some humor, but lead with a steady voice.  The training has been exemplary. Between the laughter and inspirational stories, Paul has coached both positively and encouraging. He has shared his history and knowledge; understanding the fine nuances of pitching.  He has very good attention to detail.  He is receptive to ideas, but remains the instructor.  Paul is easy to interact with and has the ability to tap in and connect with whoever is standing next to him.  He has been a great teacher, leader, and mentor. - Aaron, Sue & Mike

When I realized that I wanted to take my pitching game to the next level, I asked Paul to work with me.  Over the last year and a half, Paul did more than just make sure my mechanics were there; he shared his knowledge of the mental side of pitching. He has given me the confidence to use all of my pitches, but more importantly, why and when to use different pitches.  Between sets, he takes the time to get to know me as a person, and I consider him a good friend.  I look forward to working with Paul for years to come. - Tyler Becker
